Can human mind travel through space? Extra sensory perspective of human personality

Psychology is engaged in exploiting and exploring the hidden psychic capabilities and potentialities of mind. Parapsychology and paranormal has fascinated human mind since time memorial. Man has always endeavored to know, dive and solve the mysteries of nature and universe. Science has solved many of the physical mysteries of life but it has no control or investigation beyond the domain of five senses or world of matter. Modern Science is mostly matter oriented in approach and aptitude and scientific knowledge has its own limitations to go beyond sensory input. Science is totally lame and helpless in investigating extra sensory perception. We may say that scientists are not interested in these psychic phenomena. The unknown regions of human mind are beyond its scope and application. So exactly where the scope and field of science ends, the field of parapsychology starts it journey.

Man has two distinct levels of existence or consciousness. One is gross physical body determined and conditioned by five sense organs. It has its instincts as huger and thirst. The five sense organs are its vehicles. All its knowledge and consciousness is through the input of five sense organs. Human brain processes this input and sends messages. Our brain is great central processing unit and it is just like CPU of our computer. Our physical or material body is the domain of social physical activity. Outside this gross body but within our body there exists a subtle psychic body called soul or mind. Mind is source of our thoughts, feelings and emotions. Most probably we are guided by this subtle body. Mind is neither the by product nor projection of material body i.e. brain. It is a process outside the brain but within gross body. It may be called the “unseen environment of brain”. Brain activity and processes and mind activity and processes are two different things or entities. While dissecting human body scientists can not find any Mind in human body. Mind has its own existence independent of brain. When the man dies, the brain dies but the mind does not die. Mind has tremendous powers and it exerts powerful influences on body. In certain persons mind exhibits wonderful powers like extra sensory perception, telepathy, precognition, deja - vu and clairvoyance etc.

Mind is not limited by time and space. Mind is timeless and space less. Mind has potential to travel in space. When we are in sound sleep, our mind wanders and perceives things. Mind has wonderful power of imagination. Mind has many components in its structure and the one component ego or conscious mind goes to sleep while our sub conscious mind sees dreams as we see in day light. The psychologist establishes deep rapport with this sub conscious mind through hypnosis. The person under the profound influence of hypnosis responds to the suggestions of hypnotist in an affirmative and positive way.

It is through the cultivation of psychic powers of sub conscious mind that we can travel in space. Some people see dreams in sleep that come true afterwards. Mind can foretell our future events also mind has immense powers. Some people sense the events before their actual occurrence. This faculty of mind is called deja-vu .Deja-vu is very uncanny and eerie feeling in which already happened events seem to be happening in present. This is also a form of extra sensory perception. It has been blocked from us by strong and constant sense of ego and rationality. Ego or rationality in the form of skepticism is a great barrier between our sub conscious mind and conscious self. The dissolution of ego- self is the priori for the extra sensory perception to take place. Our ego self has been taught from infancy since centuries that what we see with senses that is only reality. We have been fixedly and rigidly conditioned. So we have closed ourselves to extra sensory perception and experiences. Open your mind to new horizons and see and feel the amazing powers and faculties of mind. Cultivate these powers with “active imagination” as Jung cultivated these powers. Jung had extra ordinary capabilities to see and peep into collective unconscious. He met many personalities in this “dark horizon of personality” loosen the conditioned grip of rationality and dive into this realm of emotionality and imagination.
