How to develop extra sensory perception? Part 1

So far man is engrossed in sensuousness and pursuits of wealth he can not attain divine wisdom and divine powers. In this way he can never liberate himself from bonds of Maya or delusion. God has given or gifted us both body and consciousness. We are aware of body only, not the needs and requirements of soul or consciousness. Intuition or telepathy is power of consciousness. The more we grow in consciousness the more we get attached with universal consciousness or universal cosmos. Man is huge reservoir of potentialities. But we lay wastage our powers in sensuous pursuits. As the tiny seed of banyan tree has all the potentialities of becoming big banyan tree in due course of time with proper nourishment and required environment .Similarly man has all the potentialities of unification or oneness with Supreme Being. God has created man in his own image. What man needs is to turn his powers inward and start an inward journey with meditation and concentration of mind. There is one beautiful hymn in shri guru Granth sahib which says:

“Man is Supreme Being in whole universe. The manly mode of existence is superior to all other modes of existence like animals and plants. Man is only animal or being gifted with power of intellect and ego. So he is ruler of universe by virtue of his intellectual power and other present in universe obey his dictates”.

The ego conscious of man is two edged weapon. Its strength and weakness lies in personal ego. Ego binds man to his body and surroundings but this very ego can lift him from the domain of animal worlds to spiritual world. The same ego may convert into wisdom. Our consciousness is strongly attached to body. We are to liberate it from body.. How much we are aware of our consciousness? It is only in fraction of our total consciousness. There are five levels of consciousness or there are five stages or milestones in the developmental evolution of cosmic consciousness.

Annmaya consciousness

Pranmaya consciousness

Manomaya consciousness

Ego consciousness

Anandmaya consciousness

Annmaya consciousness is animal level of consciousness. It is guided by our natural instincts. we are driven by our bodily needs of hunger thirst and sex. It is most primitive, infantile and instinctive level of consciousness. Dr Sigmund Freud had called this level as id level of human beings. All his psycho- analytical theory is based on the study and analysis of this level of human consciousness. To the Indian wisdom this primitive level never bothered. That is why the oldest scriptures of world civilization were writhe on the banks of river Ganga by seers or sages. In india. The second is Pranmaya consciousness. Pran means air or respiration. Respiration is vital for our survival. We can not survive long without respiration.

Manomaya is level of active imagination and extra sensory power. But it is en-caged in by ego or intellect. Our skeptic and agnostic self never allows us to travel beyond senses. Man is conditioned by senses and ego. For him “seeing” is only reality. What he sees or feels with a sense that constitutes only reality for him. He does not wish to cross this barrier of senses. Our ego or conscious self is big barrier in developing our extra sensory perception. Human mind is timeless and space less. It is not conditioned by time and space. We can be one with others by developing this power of mind. We can send telepathic messages to our friends thousands miles away. But the two minds must be in resonance and harmony with eahchother with same frequency.

Einstein’s has made the telepathic messaging a sure possibility by exploring and establishing dual nature of matter. He discovered dual nature of light. Light is both a particle as well as wave. I see no contradiction or paradox between god and matter. Matter is also reflection of divine force where it is in dormant form. Similarly the Darwin theory of evolution is not at all in contradiction with religion. Whole nature is in the process of evolution. Man is also in the process of evolution. Man has to ascend higher or transcend by evolving his consciousness. It is the mystical experience when one looses awareness of one’s self or ego consciousness and receives illumination and understanding of life in universe.

When one becomes unison with universal consciousness than all boundaries of matter are dissolved. This supreme or universal consciousness is beyond the “collective unconscious” of Jung. The German philosopher Friedrich von schelling (1775-1854) has described the history of human evolution by saying , “ mind sleeps in the stone, dreams in the plant, awakes in animal and becomes conscious in man.” The inert matter has consciousness in dormant stage. It is in the rudimentary stage as the scientist J.B.S. Haldane has observed, “We do not find obvious evidence of life or mind in so called inert matter-----but if the scientific point of view is correct, we shall ultimately find them, at least in rudimentary forms, all through the universe. Some parapsychologists speak three level of human consciousness starting from ethric than astral and than mental. consciousness can expand enormously at the mental level , but the tragedy is that very few are aware of this plane of consciousness while being in physical body. Human being can reach the intuitive level while being in body
